Quietly and behind the scenes, girls flag football is on the cusp of becoming a "real" sanctioned sport in New Jersey. Currently played competitively in many southern states, football for girls is widely popular and has started touching high school programs in New Jersey. Unfortunately, there is one problem with this model.....girls have not been TAUGHT to play the game and are only participating on the high school level.
The Girls Got Game Football Club strives to teach the fundamentals of football before high school which will serve as the foundation in the future for highly successful girls flag football players on the high school level in New Jersey.
Our mission is to empower girls to work together as a team in a fun and safe (non-contact) environment while developing a love of flag football. Our organization supports positive values and promotes health, wellness and self-esteem to inspire and motivate girls to succeed both on and off the field.
All of our coaches are skilled coaches and educators who pride themselves on building confidence and the concept of TEAM.
Join us and be a part of the inaugural season and blaze a trail with us!
Coach Hill and Coach Cohen share many of the same life experiences that have gotten them to this point. Both are currently educators, both are high school head coaches with 25+ years coaching experience, both played sports collegiately, coach youth sports, LOVE football, and most importantly.....both have a daughter that loves sports!
While watching girls football explode in states outside of NJ for years, their hope was that NJ would follow suit and join the movement so their own daughters would be able to some day participate. With NJ's move to start to incorporate Girls Flag Football to the High School level, the hope turned into reality to start Girls Flag Football at the youth level with the Girls Got Game Football Club. Be a part of the very 1st generation of girls flag football players and join the movement!
